Adding Devices

Learn how to add new devices to your SiliconWit.IO account.

From the Dashboard

Section titled “From the Dashboard”
  1. Log in to your Dashboard
  2. Click “Add Device” button
  3. Fill in the device details:
    • Name: A descriptive name
    • Type: Select device category
    • Description: Optional notes
  4. Click “Create Device”
  5. Copy and save your Device ID and Access Token

Device Configuration

Section titled “Device Configuration”

After creating a device, configure:

  • Data interval - How often to expect data
  • Offline threshold - When to mark as offline
  • Public visibility - Show on public dashboard

Bulk Import

Section titled “Bulk Import”

For multiple devices, use CSV import:

name,type,description
Sensor-001,temperature,Office main floor
Sensor-002,temperature,Office second floor
Tracker-001,gps,Delivery vehicle 1

Upload via Dashboard → Devices → Import CSV
